Congratulations and best wishes to Guy Burnett, a member of the Board of the House of Burnett and his fiancée, Brianna Moore, on their engagement and wedding in June in Sanibel Island, Florida with further Open House celebrations in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and The Topham Residence in Farmville Virginia,
Brianna is a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Facilitator at the Knox County School District. Her job consists of helping K-12 schools implement STEM courses into their curricula. She has a passion for science and nature. She was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Murray State University, which is a very respectable liberal arts college in Kentucky. She has two children from a previous marriage, Patrick, age 8, and Lillie, age 6.
Thank you Sanibel Island, Florida at the Sundial Resort on the beach. You should have a wedding announcement and invitation delivered in the mail shortly. We got engaged on March 24th. She loves science and nature and we had visited the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History before where we were both taken with the Butterfly Pavilion. The Pavilion is a room on the top floor that has live butterflies flying all over, living out their life cycles and landing on flowers, plants, fruit, and the guests who come in. I was able to discuss the matter with the curator of the exhibit, and they let us in after the final group where I proposed. I’ve attached pictures. The picture in front of the Smithsonian Castle (main museum and information) was taken a few moments after. It was such a fun and sweet engagement.
